Kid-friendly brewpub with delicious eats and live music that the whole family can enjoy. 
 

Located in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem, Foothills Brewing is brewing up great craft beer and delicious eats. Brewing since 2005, Foothills Brewing started with only three 15-barrel fermenters. Year after year, they continued to grow, so the demand for a bigger space became obvious. The solution was a warehouse that was retro-fitted with brewing equipment and became the main Foothills production facility on 3800 Kimwell Drive. Both spaces produce top-quality beers. They offer weekly tours from the tasting room of the main brewing facility. If you ask nicely at the downtown brewpub, you might even get a peek at the operation there. At the Foothills brewpub, you can always check what beers are on tap on their website, they update it regularly with their year-round beers and seasonals that they are currently pouring. There are several selections of IPAs, wits, pilsners, and golden ales along with a seasonal beer. Many of these are available for purchase while you are there, too. 

The Foothills brewpub is serving up delicious eats for the whole family. With starters like salsa and beer cheese, veggie quesadilla, hot chips and dip, pub nachos, loaded cheese tots, pub wings, fried pickle chips, bavarian pretzel, charcuterie plate, and roasted shallot and white bean hummus, you might not even need to look at the main menu. Let's be real though: we want to look at that main menu. There are soups, salads, fish and chips, shrimp and grits, chicken tenders, tacos, smoked ribs, crab cakes, pasta, stir fry, burgers, sandwiches, and wraps. If you're not full from those options they have desserts like ice cream cake, root beer or coke floats, cheesecake, chocolate cake, and a big ol’ cookie. 

The brewpub hosts live music events like Sunday jazz. We came on a Sunday and the live music was just fabulous. It was nice to hear live music from talented musicians. They have weekly specials like dollar off pints on Mondays and half off wine on Tuesdays.

The Foothills brewpub has a small outdoor seating area along the sidewalk. There is ample seating inside as well as a smaller section for quieter seating if you come on a live music night. The servers were friendly and helpful when selecting food and beer. This is a great place to come and check out. The parents can enjoy a beer (or wine) and feed the whole family.
