Glyndon Park and Playground in the town of Vienna, VA is a calm, shaded spot to bring your little ones to play!
This 11-acre park has a ton of trees, providing so much shade over the playground equipment which is ideal in the hottest months, and also providing lots of crunchy leaves to play in during fall. There are a variety of ball fields and a bathroom is available close to the parking area which has ample room. A short walk up a stroller-friendly path will bring you to the playground as well as several picnic areas, some of which are covered which is great for all types of weather!
The playground has a climbing structure for small children, a taller one with some big slides, a cool car to climb on, and even a sandbox which is always a hit. There are four baby swings and two regular swings.
A really neat feature unique to Glyndon Park is a wonderful Story Walk. Numbered signs take you along a path and each available signpost has a page from a book. You just follow the signs in order to read the whole story! We thought that was such a fun way to enjoy a favorite story while also getting some exercise.
The bathroom at Glyndon Park is open seasonally but Glyndon Park is very close to many shops and restaurants in Vienna. South Block Vienna is close by with acai bowls and smoothies and the kids love to stop by there for a special treat after any playground adventure.
