Special Halloween Weekend fun!

Morrow Mountain State park chooses a weekend either on or around Halloween for trick or treating fun. Many people camp this weekend to trick or treat around the loops with some sites going all out with decorations and tent haunted houses. The park even hosts a pumpkin carving contest for the campers.

This weekend was so much fun and worth booking a camping trip. Kids and adults have fun walking around the loops or going for hikes dressed up. You can book this weekend ten months in advance, which you will want to do. The sites book up quickly and will sell out. So if you want to do this, mark your calendars, I know we will. This can become your new holiday family tradition.

The camping section of the park is done in three different loops (A,B,C). A and B loops are both non-electric but have potable water spigots throughout and bathhouses with hot showers. Loop C has 22 electric sites and 6 wheelchair- accessible sites, bathhouse with hot showers, and potable water available. There is also a dump station for when you leave. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring.
