A Recently Updated Playground in Haworth with a Few Unique and Fun Features

The Haworth Memorial Park playground got a huge update a few years ago. It was once an all-wooden playground known as the "castle playground," by kids, but it now has a newer play structure with a fun obstacle course. They did try to retain a few of the wooden features with the new design, which is great!

The playground has two play areas. The smaller play structure has the usual ladders, slides, and a few wooden climbing features. They also added a ninja obstacle course where the kids can try and make it through without touching the ground. There are multiple wobbly features, monkey bars, stepping stones, and nets that they have to cross over in order to make it through. It's fun for all ages, and you can time the older kids to make it more competitive and fun for them as well. Try it yourself and see if you can beat your kid's time!

In addition to the playground, the rest of the park has an open green space area, basketball courts, and baseball diamonds. It's a nice place to go and have a pickup game with friends or just to relax. The park is tucked into a neighborhood, so it's usually pretty quiet and a great place to bring younger kiddos since it's not near a busy road.

Afterward, you can head to the Demarest Nature Center for some fun hikes or grab a bite to eat at Terrace Street Cafe!
