This park is truly special...it's a place to simply enjoy nature and quality family time.

Lake Rebecca is a large park managed by the beautiful Three Rivers Park District parks. We've been to many Three Rivers Parks, and every single one has been just absolutely gorgeous. All of these parks are pretty large in size, and many offer nature centers with considerable park services, including group lessons, nature classes, and special family and couples events in the beautiful outdoors. Basically, if you come to the Twin Cities and you plan to visit a Three Rivers Park, you know it's going to be a gorgeous place.

This park is gorgeous and offers miles and miles of wooded trails, as well as a large nature-inspired playground. There are plenty of seasonal activities here to enjoy all four seasons here in Minnesota at the park. In winter, you can enjoy winter hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and snowmobiling. Summer offers Lake Rebecca's gorgeous sandy beach for all sorts of family fun. Summer fun here also offers boating, biking, camping, hiking, fishing, picnicking, and canoeing. There isn't much you can think of to do in a park that isn't offered here, to be quite honest. Our kids love to hike and bike these trails, play at the playground, and to have beachy fun on the sandy shores. Lake Rebecca is truly a joy.

This particular park is special as it serves as a haven for the breathtaking trumpeter swan. Three Rivers Park District has a trumpeter swan restoration program, and Lake Rebecca is a part of this very special program. So, if you've never seen a trumpeter swan in the wild before, this park is a good place to go to catch a glimpse of this beautiful bird. With the help of this program, Minnesota is now home to a sustainable population of 5,000 trumpeter swans. Your best chance of viewing these beauties is to visit the park in the fall. Head down the gravel road from the Hilltop Picnic area, or walk to the John Hannah Trumpeter Swan Overlook.

After enjoying an afternoon or a day at Lake Rebecca, head down the road to Dave's Town Club for some delicious burgers, including wonderful, very reasonably-priced kids' meals.
