Get the whole family out for a fun day at Mallard Park that overlooks the beautiful Lake Lowell.

We are huge fans of Mallard Park and it's a little over 30 minutes from Boise in Caldwell. Mallard Park is huge and sits on a hill with Lake Lowell to your left and the Boise foothills and mountains straight in front of you. This open and spacious park caters to every family and has something for every age. The playground is extremely interactive with a nature hunt panel so the kids can find different animals and an aeroglider which is so cool for the parents to stand up and make it move and sway back and forth. The playground also has a crater arch climber and a swing set that faces the lake views. This park is certainly a great spot to enjoy around sunset but it's really ideal all day long.

This park has six picnic shelters, restrooms, basketball courts, tons of walking paths, an amphitheater and a disc golf course. It's so fun to bring your own golf disks and play with the family. We love coming to this park in the wintertime because it has the best hills for sledding when it snows!

Bring your scooters, bikes, kites, picnic lunch, and a fun attitude because this park will not disappoint. One of my favorite coffee shops close by that always puts you in a good mood with their friendly smiles is Dutch Bros Coffee at 373 Caldwell Blvd in Nampa on your way from Boise. They have great coffee drinks, muffin tops and tons of great smoothie options for the kids.
