Whether exercising, exploring the playground or enjoying the ballfields, Meadowood has something for all ages.

Meadowood Regional Park covers almost 100 acres of land just north of I-83 and I-695 in Baltimore County. Surrounded by a forest buffer, the park provides families and kids the opportunity to escape the bustling suburbs and enter a truly green space. You would never guess you are less than a mile away from two of Baltimore's major highways!

The park is accessed by crossing a footbridge over Deep Run Stream. After crossing, you’ll see the large playground to your right. The play equipment is divided into one section for older children and one section for younger kids.

There is a .8 mile paved loop that runs the perimeter of the park. The path is mostly flat with some areas of modest grade, which makes it perfect for bikes, scooters, and running strollers. The loop is easily visible from most locations in the park which means that you don't have to worry about keeping up with your little speed demons!

There are a number of ball fields and the park is a popular location for youth sports. It tends to be more crowded on tournament days, but there is a large parking lot on premises that is almost always able to accommodate all who wish to visit.

Visitors will find a clean bathroom located just beyond the playground. There are also three picnic pavilions where you can take a break to enjoy a snack or lunch. (If you don't feel like cooking, head to Poulet for an easy, take-out lunch! If dining in is more your style, enjoy delicious food, outdoor patio seating, and a playground to keep the kids busy at the nearby High Topps Grill!)

Overall, Meadowood is a lovely park with great facilities that provide hours of fun for families looking to get outside!

Our work in Baltimore is truly a family affair. Husband and wife, Matt and Katie, work together to head up our ambassador team in Charm City. Katie is a Maryland native and has lived in the state her whole life. She moved to Baltimore in 2007 after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She has been working in the field of early childhood education as a teacher and family coach for the past 12 years. Katie also holds a Masters of Education in Literacy from Loyola University. She is passionate about giving kids and families the knowledge and tools that they need to thrive. Matt grew up in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore. As a city native, Matt is a great resource on all that the city has to offer. After months of helping Katie explore the city for her role at a Happy Active Family, he decided to put his love of writing to use and officially come on board as an ambassador. Matt and Katie have two girls, ages 5 and 7. They spend their weekends camping, hiking, or exploring other hidden gems in their area. Tap into their insider knowledge by downloading the app today!
