Paradise Springs is close to DC and fun for the whole family!

Located just twenty-four miles from DC, Paradise Springs Winery is a little slice of...well, paradise. Nestled on thirty-six acres in Clifton, Virginia, Paradise Springs is the perfect backdrop for a winery. With rolling hills and plenty of room for the kids to run, Paradise Springs is a fun and easy day-trip for the entire family.

Bring a picnic blanket, pack a picnic lunch and let the kids run free. There are plenty of tables & chairs, too, if that's what you prefer. If you want to make it easy on yourself, Paradise Springs offers a wide selection of à la carte gourmet cheeses, meats, crackers, baguettes, spreads, and various snack type foods. On weekends, food trucks offer additional food for purchase.

The kids love to run up and down the rolling hills or bring a frisbee or card game for some family fun. Dogs are allowed, as long as they are on a leash (although it is important to note that they are not allowed inside the tasting room).

My favorites are the Chardonnay and Norton. Cheers!

Hours: Open 11 AM - 7 PM every day, and 11 AM - sunset on Fridays. The last call for open wine is 30 minutes prior to closing.

There are outdoor seating areas, and during Covid strict social distancing rules are enforced outside of those designated sections. Everyone is also strictly required to wear a mask when moving about at Paradise Springs Winery and there are staff members enforcing this expectation.

Melody moved around most of her life (military family) and graduated from the University of Central Florida where she was a college athlete. Even though the beach will always feel like home, she now lives in Arlington, VA with her husband, Brent, and the #fourlittlejonesies. After stints as a flight attendant, government consultant, and sales representative for a major running brand, Melody spends her days exploring and adventuring with the kids. Whether it’s a hike, playground, bike ride/run to a playground, or nature walk, Melody and the kids are always out of the house by 9:30am (otherwise, it’s chaos). Melody is a Washington D.C. ambassador, and loves the opportunity to explore even more in the city she calls home.
