Located in the heart of historic Union Station, Parisi Coffee is a wonderful place to stop for coffee or a scrumptious treat.

We are a family of choo-choo lovers, so you know we weren't going to leave Kansas City without visiting the historic Union Station. And not only are we train lovers, but we're also coffee lovers! So, Parisi Coffee is the perfect stop for us. Imagine enjoying a cup of hot coffee or tea inside a stunning, turn-of-the-century railroad station - it is definitely memorable.

Now, you may be thinking, I'll bet the menu was full of the same old tired coffeehouse selections you see everywhere....that is certainly not the case with Parisi. For traditional coffee lovers, Parisi obviously offers the standard fare of mochas, lattes, and cappuccinos, but also a Macchiato (equal parts espresso and creamy milk), Con Panna (espresso topped only with whipped cream), and a Breve (espresso topped with half & half). But the menu item that I really wish I had seen before ordering is the intriguing Affogato, which is gelato drowned in espresso. I'm not sure why, but this sounds totally fascinating to me!

For littles, Parisi offers a classic hot cocoa, Italian sodas in any number of delicious flavors, and something delicious called a Cioccolato, which is described as molten chocolate with homemade marshmallows. YUM! They also offer a number of sandwiches, salads, and fresh bakery items.

The Sicilian grandmother of the owners instilled in her family "a deep sense of coffee as a tasteful part of daily life." The idea that coffee can be inspirational and that every step of the process is important to brewing is evident in their final product it is obvious they bring that same energy to their bakery and cafe type of items.
