Smaltimore: Kids Eat Free Here!

Smaltimore is a fun neighborhood restaurant and bar that is sure to please parents and kids alike. They're known for their burgers, sushi, and great beer selection, yet the seemingly odd combination of specialties works. The atmosphere is cozy, pub-like and extremely family-friendly atmosphere.

The best part of Smaltimore is that kids always eat free with a paying adult. There is no official kids menu, but your server will tell you that they have burgers, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, and mac and cheese for the little ones. Order any of those along with an adult meal and it's on the house!

While there is no outdoor seating, you’ll find a wall of open french doors when the weather is nice. This proves to be especially helpful when you have a little one that needs to stretch her legs while she’s waiting for her food. Also worth noting: The restaurant offers kid-friendly cups, but they don’t provide coloring pages or any other entertainment, so bring along a coloring book if you think you’ll need one. While Smaltimore is family friendly, it's best suited for kids that can remain entertained at a table for the duration of a meal, think 5 years and up. 

The restaurant tends to be most crowded during the weekend dinner rush (5pm and later). You’ll generally find it pretty calm during other times of day – unless there's a Liverpool soccer game on. Smaltimore is somewhat of a gathering space for Liverpool fans and they flock to the bar on game days.
