Tom Lasseter Playground in a South Austin neighborhood is a great spot to play and enjoy the outside air.

This South Austin gem is located just off South Lamar and offers a little kid's perfect playscape complete with a tree-castle exterior, slides, covered picnic area, and a well-landscaped lawn. There's also a basketball court for older kids looking to practice or play.  Lasseter is less than a two-minute drive from Phil’s Icehouse & Amy’s Ice Creams perfect for post-play lunch or a sweet, quality dairy treat.

There is a playground, a basketball hoop, and tables and benches for sitting and relaxing or picnicking. The play area is well shaded, and the ground is surfaced with wood chips rather than asphalt for easy play. There are grassy areas, a water fountain, a small pavilion, and even a little creek to splash in.

Parking is available and accessible, and there are also grills by the picnic tables and pavilion great for cooking out.
