Union Collective in Hampden, Baltimore is fun for all.
Union Collective is where it’s at if you want to find a wide-open space where you can stop in for a beer, some pizza... ice cream, rock climbing, coffee, live music… just about everything that’s fun.
The 155,000 square foot renovated warehouse space rests comfortably just outside Hampden and has something for everyone. The space is anchored by Union Craft Brewing’s taphouse where you’ll find friendly service and delicious beers brewed onsite. The space is wide open accommodates large parties or active families (no one under 21 after 6 pm please. That’s their “Adult Swim”).
There’s also an outside beer garden that’s, even more, kid-friendly and is a great place to enjoy nicer weather. Food is available (and exceptional) by Well Crafted Kitchen located inside the Union space. While they offer some traditional beer accompaniments they also feature specials on a rotating basis that are typically made with locally sourced ingredients. Check the menu there or online on any given day to see what’s cooking. Outside food is not welcome unless it’s a birthday cake. Everyone loves cake.
Kids and grown-ups alike can enjoy the chill-out area where you can find free skee ball and shuffle bowling machines as well as some cozy couches where you can take a load off. There’s even an old camper trailer they’ve repurposed as a photo booth. The brewing facility offers free tours at 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm on Saturdays. No sign up required!
When you’re feeling adventurous just take a stroll around the building and stop into The Charmery for some locally made ice cream. Sure there’s Chocolate and Vanilla, but maybe you’re in the mood for Old Bay caramel or vegan toasted coconut. The Charmery won’t disappoint.
The Baltimore Spirits Company is right around the corner offering tastings and spirits for sale by the bottle.
