This family-friendly cafe and coffee shop has been in business since 1995 and is definitely worth a stop!

This cute little cafe is nestled into a strip mall in the upscale area of Deephaven, Minnesota. Its location is close to famed Lake Minnetonka, as well as many great outdoor spaces for families to explore.

In this age of fast turnover for restaurants and businesses, you just know that if a cafe has been around for over 20 years, it's probably a pretty good spot. Beanhaven Cafe is no exception to this assumption. With delicious coffees, bakery items, and daily breakfast and lunch, this place is an excellent stop for families with individual members of all ages. All the breakfast items are to-die-for, including a huge list of savory omelettes of every variety. Lunch options include an assortment of hot and cold sandwiches, plus delicious soups. There is truly something for everyone.

We enjoyed the food at Beanhaven, and the girls loved their hot cocoas on a cold winter day (yep, they even treated the girls to extra whipped cream!).

There's plenty of free on-site parking in the lot here, which is great for busy parents and caregivers. Plus, if you choose to eat-in, there are plenty of tables for families to find a comfortable spot to enjoy a leisurely visit.

After enjoying breakfast or lunch here, drive over to Lone Lake Trails and get your hike (or bike) on! Lone Lake Playground is also a great place to burn off the sugar from that delicious hot chocolate!
