Join in the fun at Potomac Yard Park in Alexandria, Virginia.

Separate and unique play areas for different age groups are increasingly common, but Potomac Yard Park, an A.D.A. playground in a popular Alexandria neighborhood is notable because the separate spaces are housed within their own independent fences, each safeguarded with formidable latches. The equipment is broad and comprehensive and suitable for kids of all ages.

On the toddler side, Potomac Yard Park has a unique maze that is as creative and fun as it is educational, as well as a large variety of other playground toys to keep the toddlers entertained rather than leaving them longing to play with the big kids. The 5-12 age group will be equally impressed by the extensive selection of more mature stations for exercise and play that complement the traditional activities.

Like many playgrounds, Potomac Yard Park has no shade, but Potomac Yard Park often enjoys a nice breeze and also headlines a sprayground with a cool, interactive fountain that makes it easy to stay cool on hot summer days. The kids will also love the different trains passing by on the nearby track as well as the low flying planes overhead making their way into Reagan National Airport. Whether you are enjoying the playground or the sprayground, kids will definitely be entertained in Potomac Park.

Moby Dick, Best Buns and The Carlyle are all just ten minutes away in a car and the Arlington Public Library - Shirlington is a very short walk from any of them.

Lost Dog Cafe and Sweetgreen are both around five minutes in the direction of Old Town.
