Something different awaits in the Upper Schuylkill Valley that is sure to please all ages!

Wolves, Chickens, Donkeys...Oh My! This spot is great for animal and nature-loving families of all ages! Not only do you have beautiful views of the Schuylkill River, but you also get to visit a wide variety of wildlife. You have an opportunity to check out the foxes, wolves, a bobcat, and even a porcupine, just to name a few! There is a seasonal butterfly garden and turtle pond as well.

There is plenty of open space near the wildlife center as well as along the river and picnic tables to enjoy a snack or come prepared with a full picnic lunch. The restrooms are located near the wildlife center and are very well maintained. They include a changing table for infants and toddlers which is always an appreciated resource. There is a fishing pier, as well as a boat ramp for non-motorized boats.

If you are looking for a place to break up your playground routine, this is a great option, your kids will be so grateful just keep in mind that pets are not welcome out of respect for the wildlife that call the park home.

Originally from Williamsport, PA (Home of the Little League World Series) Natasha decided to take the plunge into city life when relocating to Philadelphia in 2007 to be closer to her then boyfriend, now husband. Having lived in Fishtown, on South Street and a few places in between, she really started to feel like home when she moved to Conshohocken. Fast forward a few years, Natasha now resides in Collegeville (Philadelphia suburb) with her husband, 4 year old boy/girl twins and their 130lb Rottweiler. She has been soaking in her new role as a stay at home mom and loves having the chance to explore and discover with her kids! When she is not planning their next adventure, Natasha is enjoying an audible book or practicing her hand lettering! Natasha never misses an opportunity to “sell” her friends and family on places and things she loves and hopes she can continue this with Happyly!
